The AP4 Pickup system is similar in concept to the AP5, although simplified to compliment the 225 series of guitar. The basic differences of the AP4 to the AP5 are a fixed frequency mid control, and a slight decrease in top end clarity. |

AP5 Pickup System
The Maton AP5 is regarded as the very best acoustic guitar pickup system available today. The AP5 incorporates a sculpted frequency curve, designed to perfectly complement your guitar's acoustic tone. It features a sweepable mid range between 1 and 2kHz, "Soft Start" circuitry, low battery indicator and externally mounted "AA" batteries. |

APMic Pickup System
Using the same circuitry and pickup as the AP5, the APMic features an "Add On" microphone, positioned just inside the treble side of the sound hole.
The microphone is used as a blend; the typical setting would be appoximately 10% mic and 90% pickup. The role of the microphone is to add sustain and "air" around the signal that is missing when a pickup is used on its own. |
