Simon Hosford on the Mastersound range... |
Anthony Knowles (marketing and A&R) and Michael Foley have recently been putting the finishing touches on a project that will be of great interest to those of you who have been supporting Maton electric guitars. They have been fortunate enough to enlist the talents and services of one Simon Hosford, known to most of you as the professor of shredding and all things warm and fuzzy in electric guitar world. This clinic is incredible. Simon eloquently and informatively talks the attendees through all of the major models and then proceeds to tear them to pieces with the aid of backing tracks and pure skill. He has done a mountain of work and his knowledge of the product is first class. Once you get past the sound of peoples jaws dropping, we find you will comfortably settle in to an hour or so of enjoyable guitar activity. If you are carrying the Mastersounds and are interested in hosting one of these evenings, let me know and we can get the ball rolling.

Bob Evans - Maton in Store Appearances |
Bob Evans ( A.K.A Kevin Mitchell of Jebediah Fame) is currently on the road with his Goodnight Bull Creek album tour. Maton were fortunate enough to have secured Bob's services for some in-store appearances at Billy Hydes Brisbane, Flemington and North Perth. Each night was met with large crowd appreciation and great reviews.
The multitudes have been responsive to Bob's soulful and melodic solo in-store shows. With his Maton EMGA in hand, Bob serenaded his captivated audiences with his trademark catchy and airy tunes like Someone So Much and Don't you think it's time? He really is arguably one of Australia's finest young song writing talents and his appeal has been evident with a responsive and highly attentive following at each store.
Maton has been proud to have had an association with Bob for some time now and we hope that, not only does Goodnight Bull Creek continue to go gangbusters for Bob, but also the opportunity to catch him in more stores soon will arise....Maton in hand of course!

10 years of Maton in Italy |
We are proud and pleased to announce that in 2009, our Italian Distributor Messiah Music Italia Srl celebrates its 10th Anniversary.
MMI is owned and operated by Alan Samin (who lives not far from us in Melbourne) and Alberto Meucci (who lives in Livorno, Tuscany – where the head office of MMI is).
Alan, having been a Maton owner since 1961 when he bought his first Fyrbyrd, was a regular client in the late 90’s of one of our dealers who was of Italian parentage and regularly talked about introducing Maton to his homeland.
