Maton would like to congratulate Lee Kernaghan as the recipient of the 2008 "Australian of the Year" award which was presented to to Lee yesterday at a ceremony in front of Parliament House, Canberra.

Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd praised Lee as "...an Australian to make us all proud; you would have to travel a long way to find a better, more genuine bloke than Lee."
